A. Menu Images (Transient Processing)

When you scan a restaurant menu, the image is sent to our AI processor (Google Gemini) solely for the purpose of translation and analysis. We do not store, retain, or claim ownership of your menu photos on our servers after the analysis is complete. Images are processed in real-time and discarded immediately.

B. Local Device Storage

Your scan history, dietary preferences, and app settings are stored locally on your device using secure storage. This data never leaves your device unless you explicitly choose to share it.

C. Analytics Data

We collect anonymized usage analytics (e.g., feature usage, crash reports) to improve the App. This data cannot be used to identify you personally. We use Sentry for error tracking and anonymized analytics to monitor app stability.

3. How We Use Your Information

• To provide menu translation and analysis services
• To detect allergens and provide nutritional information
• To improve the accuracy and performance of our AI models
• To diagnose technical issues and improve app stability

4. Third-Party Services

The App integrates with the following third-party services, each with their own privacy policies:

• Google Gemini (AI processing) — for menu image analysis and translation
• RevenueCat — for managing in-app subscriptions (processes payment data via Apple/Google)
• Sentry — for anonymous error tracking and crash reporting
• Google AdMob — for displaying advertisements (free tier users only)

5. Data Retention

Menu images are processed in real-time and not retained on our servers. Local data on your device persists until you uninstall the App or clear the app data. Anonymized analytics data is retained for up to 12 months.

6. Your Rights

Depending on your jurisdiction, you may have the following rights:

• Right to access the personal data we hold about you
• Right to request deletion of your personal data
• Right to opt out of analytics data collection
• Right to data portability

Since most of your data is stored locally on your device, you can delete it at any time by uninstalling the App. For any other requests, please contact us.

The App is not intended for use by children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If we become aware that we have collected personal information from a child under 13, we will take steps to delete such information.
